After 30..40min of taking my thyroid medicine should I take apple cider vinegar?
So question I work 4-12:30 am and don’t get home till 1-1:15. Then I eat a snack then go to bed. I don’t wake up till around 1-2 pm. This is when I usually take my medicine. Is that okay? Bc before hand all I would do is set an alarm for 9 am take it then go back to sleep.
Hi, I have been taking iodine supplements but after watching your video it seems like iodine supplements are not to be taken with levothyroxine, right?
So, regarding iodine. It hasn’t affected me as far as I can tell. I eat Itsu Seaweed and it has iodine in it but I’ve no idea what side effects there are supposed to be? I was born without a thyroid so not sure if it has the same negative effects?

Is Levothyroxine only T4? Can we take the T3 medication ?
Is iodine bad for hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism
Hi Abraham,
I have a query if you can solve my doubt please.
I live in Asia.
I have had hyperthyroidism in 2019.
Doctors gave me radioiodine(drops).
My physician advised me to take Thyroxine 50 mcg with Accuracy and Motilium until 15th of April of 2020 and then visit him again but now because of the current situation, every thing has been complicated.
I can not visit him now.
Hospital or my physicion do not respond to my question because they are busy with the bigger problem, you know.
Now my question is,
should I keep continue to take these medicines especially Thyroxine ?
should I leave or reduce the quantity of these medicines?
Thanks
Im on Levothyroxine and Liothyronine. I take the Levo at night and the Lio in the morning, I also take fibromyalgia medication in the morning. I usually have coffee pretty much first thing in the morning because it helps get rid of my morning headache.
How to take levothyroxine properly: throw it in the bin unless you are also on some form of T3 and are using it as a combination therapy. Most people on levo still have hypo symptoms because the body needs more than T4 and conversion is hampered (ironically) by a low TSH. This excellent paper explains the issues with Levo very well:
Can i take biotin with this medication? I was told biotin is not good when taking levo. How much biotin is it okay to take?
I work in a pharmacy and have done for 8 years you would think when I got home from work that I would wanna break away from medication and pharmacy life but I dont I just find your videos so interesting 😁

Well i take 150mcg iodine after lunch and 50mg levothyroxine at 8 pm. I dont eat or drink anything other than water after 5pm. And my tsh,ft3,ft4 were all normal.

However, I am very determined to take it all in one gulp before it dissolves… my question is if its safe to swallow when its dissolved in my mouth already, should I spit it out and start again or just swallow
It seems Ive been eating too soon.

I have two questions:
1.) What happens if you accidentally miss a day of your prescription? I tend to forget some mornings.
2.) I take Levothyroxine because I have hypo thyroidism but I don’t actually know what it’s doing. What’s it doing and how is it helping? I don’t feel very different than before I started taking it.

This was great, thanks, I been tryin to find out about thyroid signs and symptoms for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of – Yannabarn Vanish Thyroid – (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my friend got amazing success with it.
Thank you 🙂 Thanks for commenting too!
Why would a TSH be a 13, next year a 7 and next normal then go back to a 7 then normal again. I do take kelp but still unsure about levothroxine as I gained 10 pounds after taking it. This was a couple of years ago. then I stopped after about 6 months. Not sure if I should try again or not.
I hate feeling the way I feel like Im dead do to my thyroid, so I started taking a few bumps of cocaine every or whenever I need to get things done how much damage am I doing? I feel great and its about less then a gram a day.
Hi Does It Help Taking The Medication Everyday at a specific Time???
this shit ruined my life bro im 16 and most of my hair fell out and its difficult to lose weight
what would be the side effects for too high of a dose? i recently just had my initial prescription increase and i wanna know what i should be looking out for and how soon those side effects could start considering i probably wouldn’t even feel a relief of my symptoms until 6-8 weeks

Crap. Try the ndt
Hes wrong about iodine making an underactive thyroid worse
Can we take medicine with water?
Is there alternative to levothyroxine the side effects that I’m experiencing are dreadful weight gain, hair loss, dry skin, bad nails. What other thyroid meds are available on nhs?!
Could you please tell me if levothyroxine has any issue with fiber intake? Also pls enlighten me whether I must have my breakfast within 2 hours of medication or that does not matter? Can stomach acidity causes any issue with levothyroxine absorption? Thank you so much…waiting for your reply.
I wish there were more videos like this addressing hypothyroidism. I have had it for many years and have been taking the medication at least 30 mins before breakfast as instructed by my doctor. However they have always told me that I needed to eat 30 mins after taking the medication for it to be effective…. but your video and countless other sources on the web says otherwise. Sometimes i wake up a few hours before breakfast so I end up taking my medication 2 or 3 hours before I am meant to eat. But I wish there were more videos on how to tackle the several symptoms that come with this condition. After taking the medication for several years and my THS being in balance I dont understand why I still have thinning hair that falls out, why I go to the gym 3 times a week, eat well and still not lose a single pound, why im always lethargic and struggle to sleep and my coordination is really bad (aparintly thats linked to thyroid issued to)
Im facing too much hair loss after hypothyroid my ferritin level is low and also white hair problem . You dont talk about it
HOW ABOUT DRINK WITH WATER, HAS BE WATER NOT MILK . ILL TAKE VITAMINS AND STUFF AT NIGHT OR HALF WAY THREW THE DAY
I had symptoms of Underactive Thyroid for 20 years and found out i have Reverse T3 issues. I found a book called Hypothyroidism Type 2 The Epidemic written by Dr Mark Starr who diagnosed this in himself and treated himself and others with success using only T3. Reverse T3 can still happen if you have an Underactive Thyroid as the T4 converts into a dud form of T3 called Reverse T3 that blocks cell receptors stopping T3 from getting in. Reverse T3 happens if you are low in zinc and selenium needed for hormone conversion from T4 into T3 and candida and a leaky gut can add to this if untreated. The conversion of hormones takes place in the gut and liver and Milk Thistle is a great liver cleanser. If you have a low body temp and you have been on medication for Thyroid for a few months than Reverse T3 may be an issue or you can also be low in Iionde as Iodine is something will are all low in due to fluoride in water and toothpaste that reduce iodine levels. You can test for low Ioridine if you hase Lugols liquid iodine and rub a large spot on the arm,if it goes in upto18 hours that means you are mildly deficient if it takes up to 22 hours it means very deficient. Gluten should also be the first step into getting well so remove it.
As a pharmacy tech, Id love to work with such a fun dude… zomg… lol, what if you take it in the morning but wind up falling back asleep? TT___TT for only like an hour? just to try to keep it in the morning and away from food………

So no iodine? I thought it was good for hypothyroid
Do digestive enzymes help better absorption of thyroid meds? If so is it better to take it at the same time?
QUESTION!!!
So ppl that have hypothyroidism can’t take kelp or any iodine supplements or foods ? Like sushi ?
If No why please
I have hypo and I really wanna know if I need to avoid iodine
He makes things funny and fun, which makes it more tolerable to sit thru. Most of the time the dry as a bone medical person has me yawning so much I switch it off. One thing he didnt cover and nobody seems to… HOW MUCH WATER SHOULD YOU TAKE WITH YOUR THYROID PILL? Also, can you take thyroid med with diet soda, or flavored water etc?
I take it just as you describe to the letter, but Ill give you a FACT about this medication in MY case – it GIVES ME depression and makes me angry.
I had the does lowered from 100 to 75mg, but I get depression.
As soon as I stop it the depression disappears.
I cannot speak for everyone, but it obviously des not suit me at all.
What is the point being a little thinner if I am to be made depressed to the point of wishing I were dead?
For me personally this medicine is evil.
Levothyroxine makes me breathless and pain in my chest. Im not benefitting from levothyroxine at all.
Sharon Rowland I felt nothing from it
I keep reading many places you should try to take this prescription two hours after eating a meal, not 1 hour like the video suggest.
Levo is a placebo
Heck I was surprised to hear Iodine interacts negatively with Levothyroxine! I was under the impression that it helped! Thanks for the tip!
My doctor says that iodine helps…
There’s a lot of contradicting-going on here. One says certain foods are good for you and another says it’s not. If you go to see an endochronologist take his advice and no body else’s. otherwise things can get very confusing.
Thats what other vlogs say as well. They say taking kelp helps thyroid work more efficiently. So which one is it?

Why do i get hot flash at night?
And my period was late for 7 days on last month…
Why it happened????
My age is 37+
I am trying to concieve very much…
Pls help me answering my question,,, and let me know my heath condition please…!!!.
What the hell do I do if I have to take thyroid meds AND an acid reflux med upon waking up??
Ive taken levothyroxine twice and in consecutive years Ive had nervous breakdowns. First time was on levo 50 (3 days after they upped me from 25 after 6 weeks… It got switched back to 25 and I still was suffering. Took about 4 months… I quit and got better eventually…)
8 months later I was put on levo 25 for 6 weeks and it happened again… My Thyroid the first time was really low… And this time it was low normal
Im pissed that I gotta go through this again cause I was on a good roll in life… The 25 did well for me the first time cause I was really low..
Thought I could take it again, didnt figure in thyroid levels.. My nieveness towards that man. Now Im fighting off consistent anxiety and depression
Also avoid eating raw cabbage or foods in the cabbage family (cruciferous family) – broccoli, Brussels sprouts, kale, pak choy – good for you but in moderation cooked – with them being fully cooked as eaten raw can affect absorption and conversion from T4 to T3. Diet and remaining stressfree, regularly exercise if possible are vitally important too.
What Dr Westin Childs videos on YT which are very informative. This video was helpful but it skirted over many other very important aspects to consider. For example the health of your liver, gut; stress level and nutrient intake which can greatly impact on how your thyroid medication is absorbed- as without absorption you can take the medication ad infinitum and it will not help you nor work effectively.
Do your research yourself and not rely solely on your doctor. They do not have the time to tell you everything so take control.of your health by binge watching Dr Westin Childs videos and start taking iron, selenium, magnesium, B12, B6 (yes even iodine rich foods or supplements – check with yOur doctor dependent on your thyroid condition) supplements. Also ensure you are given the full reading of your blood test results and not a summarised version to check your levels yourself. Even the lab people who advise the doctor can get it wrong and doing that yourself will enable you to see what your optimal reading for each area should be. I am in the throes of doing the latter as I have experienced the same problems after taking too much of Levothyroxine which made me hyperthyroidism. The reverse happened too and I became very ill on doctors orders. Good luck.
This explains why Im up at 3 am after taking my medicine

Ive taken minds around 4:30 am to 5 am and its worked for me but my doctors told me to take it early but I started taking it at specific time period because once I get dressed for work, I would forget so I made it a bathroom call moment.
What about taking antidepressants at same time?
Can you drink milk with coffee at least 60 mins after levothyroxine? I put more coffee then milk
Your link is only available for citizens of the UK… i am sad
I thought iodine supported the thyroid? Isnt Kelp rich in iodine?
can taking thyroxine reduce the size of a goiter?

I already knew all this. But thank you for this informative video.
One tip from me ( told by my doctor) : take thyroid medication with just five or six sips of water. Too much water dilutes the medicine, thus affecting its complete absorption.

Hi Abraham, My thyroid gland was removed 1.5 years ago. Usually I wake up every morning, take a pill then sleep again for an hour and then wake up. Recently, often I am feeling bad and tired, sometimes concentration (mental) on a subject is difficult for me, and even at the morning when I wake up after sleeping 8 hours I am still tired and I can not feel as energetic and fresh as I was before surgery. Thus I would like to know whether can sleeping after taking pill cause such effects? Thanks
Thank you for the information – much needed and much appreciated.

Pretty sure I have hypothyroidism. I pretty much have to go to the doctor for bloodwork, or is there over the counter medicine I can take?
