Yes, I definitely agree this diet on its own will not keep the weight off which I discussed at the end of the video. I mentioned that a healthy lifestyle change and regular exercise is the healthiest way to lose weight and that happens over months, not 7 days. The tea I had was not a laxative detox tea and I enjoyed it similarly to other teas (1-2 cups a day, at most). My main source of hydration is water which is why I had the water and the tea in my video. I enjoy a warm beverage to wake me up and then drink water the rest of the day. My insides were fine throughout this diet, I had no issues at all. 😊

I did a HIIT Yoga class on the second day and was fine but I definitely dont think I would have had the energy to that class if it were later into the diet. From what I read about the Cabbage Soup Diet, only light exercise was recommended while on it.

I was the one who wanted to try out this diet. He tried it for a couple days and decided he couldn’t do it the rest of the week because of his workout regimen. I didn’t get extra groceries for him for the week so he had to order food for himself. He offered to eat it at the restaurant or in his office but I was the one who insisted we have lunch together so we could spend some time together. We have been together for over 8 years and started living together within months of dating. At this point, we already feel as though we are married. We are only have a formal ceremony to celebrate with friends and family. I appreciate the concern. At night, I only apply moisturizer after cleansing my face. I have oily skin and am prone to acne. I find that using acne medicated skincare makes my skin break out even more, so I stay away from them. I am looking into anti-aging skincare next though and will share any new developments 😊

I kept the soup for the entire week which was pushing it. I bought enough to make 2 batches since the plan was to make enough for me and my fiance but since he wasnt able to follow the diet through (he was still going to the gym and lifting weight and this wasnt enough to sustain him), I ended up just eating the soup myself. The soup was fine though when I had it on the 7th day. It didnt taste bad. I think as long as you use a clean ladle to spoon out the soup, there shouldnt be any issues. 😊

Trinity Tennant I did provide after pictures and mentioned what happened to the before picture in the video. I apologized in the video that I lost the before picture and wasn’t able to find it and realized my mistake. I also mentioned at the end of the video that the weight I lost was most likely water weight and I do not recommend this diet for long term weight loss. Instead, the best way to lose weight is to do so slowly over several months with a healthy diet and regular exercise. Again, I apologize for not having the before picture but at this point I honestly don’t know what else I could have done. I don’t like taking full body pictures of myself so the one I thought I took was the only one I had. I didn’t expect not to be able to find it. This is a learning experience for me and I will be sure to take measures to prevent mistakes like this from happening again. My apologies
When I make my “stoup”, which is my middle point version between a stew and a soup I always cut up the carrots, celery, onion and cabbage; then boil them till they aren’t hard anymore. Reserve the water for your soup because there are vitamins in there. Then I sauté the vegetables in a pan with olive oil and butter till golden brown which gives them a great flavor. Add a couple of bullion cubes, salt, pepper, a dash of thyme, and any other spice you might like to the water and boil then simmer till all melds together: then enjoy!!

Honestly, I think this diet is good if you are trying to lose weight quickly for an occasion such as a vacation. If you want long term results, I highly recommend picking a diet that is sustainable for your lifestyle and sticking with it for a few months and also try to get a workout routine in. As long as you are burning more calories than you are eating, you should slowly lose the weight. This was how I have done it in the past and have gotten really good, long term results. Unfortunately, any weight lost with this diet will most likely come back if you go back to your regular diet after. I hope this helps 😊

Honesty, yes. I spent 15-20 minutes going through my pictures on my phone to try to find a good full body pictures to use in this video and couldnt find one. I thought I recorded one at the beginning of this diet but wasnt able to find it.
I do have records from a doctor visit in the middle of December that shows my weight gain from that appointment vs the appointment before where I gained over 10 lbs within a few months. Personally, I am just not into taking very many pictures of myself and especially when I have gained weight. This is something I have been trying to work on since I have a presence on YouTube and I am trying to increase my social media presence. If you go to my IG account you can see I really dont post very many pictures and the ones I do post are from the waist up, from far away, or ones where I have fully cloth. The only times I took full body pictures where you can actually see my body was after my last weight loss challenge where I was in the best shape since high school (which you can see the transformation).
I do have a haul video I posted in November of me modeling formal dresses where you can kind of see my body but that is the closest I have. I honestly dont know what else I can say. Im sorry if I dont fit a norm for not taking as many full body pictures of myself as I am expected to.

Liz Hutton I ate pretty healthy after the diet but have since gone back to eating and drinking poorly. The biggest issue for me is the sugar and alcohol. I think had I not craved the desserts so much, this would be much easier. I think the next thing I’m going to try is going on Whole30 to try to detox from the sugar addiction so I have less of a chance of slipping again. Its been nearly a week and I think my face is looking not as round. Hopefully my spare tires will begin to drop off as well. Ive made 3 batches so far and have strayed slightly from the original recipe, only to keep myself from getting bored with the same thing. Im a type 2 diabetic so I have to be careful with what fruits I eat but fortunately, theres plenty with a low glycemic load that I dont really have to worry too much about it. Also, Ive added 1 lb of the leanest ground beef I could get (96%) to add a bit of protein to the mix. I tried using a red cabbage but it changed the flavor a bit and I dont think Ill be using it again. One more thing before I get to why Im posting; Im using the cartons of beef broth because Im trying to stay away from the extra salt that comes with bullion cubes. Ive been thinking about substituting Bok Choy for Napa Cabbage and Ive done some research and found this; I think its pretty interesting and wanted to share:

I was concerned about that but I havent had any problems with either. Im allergic to the preservatives that are in a lot of the foods today and it flushes me out. Ive been pleasantly surprised that since Ive been eating only fresh foods, my BMs are like a normal person. (Seems weird to be happy about that but if you knew what Ive lived with, youd understand.) I was also surprised that I wasnt gassy. It may be different for other people but I think youll never know unless you try.

Here is a little secret to improve the taste of this recipe. Add 1 to 2 Tablespoons of curry powder or to your taste. I used yellow and red peppers instead of green.

@Quynh Pham Hi Quynh. This is day 5 and I am 8 lbs down, but I must confess to cheating Tuesday with a turkey burger at work. My carnivorous instinct took over and got the best of me, but seriously, I need to lose about 40 lbs to get back to a healthy weight again so Ill be doing this for longer than just the 7 day diet. Ill let you know what happens as events unfold and I struggle to keep the beast inside under control!!

I went to the store to get all food for this diet. Im excited really. The results will be my jump start that I need so badly. No sugar ever. I will make keto desserts on the off time, with my what ever diet I go on. I might do weight watchers in between. I like being on something and be accountable.

I did this diet in the early 70s Then I did the Atkins diet Now there is a diet like Adkins but carbs have been my problem from the time I was weaned from Moms milk. My Mom gave me a Meat and eggs diet diet and I was healthy but if I got cake or cookies or bread or candy or …I threw up. The all veg soup worked but so blah so I do the first 3 days and then begin Adkins and when I end the regime I do the 3 veg and fruit 3 days to balance my system, so I can resume eating carefully so as not to gain. I admire your tenacity and thank you for sharing.

I love that you made changes to the diet to fit your needs! I think finding a diet that that is attainable is so important when it comes to losing weight and so many people give up because they try to stick to something that isnt right for them. To be honest, the only reason I was able to stick this one out is because I was motivated by this vlog. I remember this diet in mid 90s. U will gain the weight back unless you go on a type of maintenance diet or lifestyle of eating.

Same name I remember it being popular as well in the 90s. Lol. My old boss and I tried it together and on days when we got to have some carbs like a potato we were excited. Cause at beginning its alright and tastes good but u get worn out on it after a while. I dont remember if we lost any pounds but this used to b very popular.

i believe that cabbage soup should used as part of regular diet
i find that cabbage soup is really filling, and i sometimes use it as a snack or appetizer before meals so i dont over eat.
.an all in short term approach, u will guarentee gain the weight back
I definitely agree in that this should not be a one and done sort of diet. The weight will come back if someone goes back to their regular lifestyle before this diet. To keep the weight off a lifestyle change is definitely needed. I think I need to work on my Cabbage Soup recipe because youre right, this would be a great snack to have ready for when hunger strikes! 😊
Ive been alternate day fasting for the past 23 days and I lost 7lbs and u lost more in only 7 days! I gained 40lbs last yr from meds I was prescribed and Im using quarantine to get it off and have always wanted to try fasting. I fast for 36hrs (1 day and night) then eat the next day, fast the next…and so on. I didnt measure my inches tho and wish I did bc I can tell big diff in clothes. Im going for long term wgt loss and management tho not a quick fix..but I see this works if u need one.

This became useful as I’m in quarantine/isolation and can’t stock on what I prefer to eat. I mean this in a sincerity positive way, but if you would have done the carnivore diet with high fat combined with your intermittent fasting, you would felt MUCH better. The first 2-3 days would have been hard of course, but the rest one would likely feel much better. You might alright know this. Insulin resistance is why you were struggling your hardest days. I know what I’m saying sounds extreme, I use to think the same, until my cardiologist and physical rehabilitation phyucuan who has a PHD in biochemistry told me about this. Just a thought for anyone looking for another way to lose weight aside from this, and you’d be more likely to keep it off. I thank you for sharing this though because I can’t stock the meat for my diet, so this is an alternative that I may try until things get better. Thank you for posting this. It appeared in my suggestions and sounds like a good alternative. It’d be much easier to stock the ingredients as well. Thanks and best regards.

This is not my preferred method of losing weight as it is pretty extreme lol but I wanted to give it a try. There are parts of this diet that I do like though and think the cabbage soup is great to incorporate into a regular diet. Aw thank you! Lol, I actually need to redo them, they are looking pretty bad right now 😄. I am actually a teeth grinder when I sleep and despite wearing night guards now, my teeth are pretty sensitive so pureeing made it easier and faster for me to eat the soup but like you said, whatever works for your personal preference. Yes, thank goodness it was only a week 😄. It went by fairly fast, the weekend was definitely the hardest since those are the days we normally go out to eat. Thank you so much for watching! 😊

Can you give me a link to the exact seven days soup diet as I see you mentioned what you are allowed to eat on certain days but I cant work it out… please give me a link to the entire weeks diet so I can make a list of all the ingredients I need for the week.
I dont think you should fast in the morning, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Thats why its called break-fast. Even if you just boiled some eggs and have avocado and a piece of bacon..
I tried the soup alone for three days. Maybe it’s because I am 69 that I found I couldn’t leave the house, so I am going for a slower result using it as one meal. Bummer.

Just heads up here. Once the whole fruit and or whole vegetables has changed it’s normal form. The fruit and vegetables is dying. The fruit and or vegetables, if not consumed within 15 mins of it change. It’s just fibre, No nutritional value other then fibre. That’s why you had cravings. No nutrients in this soup. You were actually starving your body. It’s the high fibre content in this soup that makes you loose the weight.
